DTE MP Admission Notification 2011
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (PET) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.) course in various technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PET to get admission in the best engineering institutes in the state. The exam is conducted in various centers in order to provide comfort to the students. The students have to be more conscious about this exam and need to work harder to get admission in the reputed institutes of Madhya Pradesh.

There are 159 institutes in Madhya Pradesh offering Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses through Madhya Pradesh PET. The various institutes in Madhya Pradesh give all sorts of transportation facility to its students and also give residential facility to them.

Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test is an examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh, Professional Examination Board for pursuing various engineering courses. 90% seats in the Government/Aided colleges are reserved for Madhya Pradesh candidates, 5% for Outside MP candidates and 5% for NRIs. For Private Self-financing institutes 75% of seats are reserved for MP candidates, 20% seats for Outside candidates and 5% seats for NRI candidates.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for this exam. Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years (24 years for SC/ST) on 1st October, 2011.
Those students who are applying for Madhya Pradesh seats should have a Madhya Pradesh domicile for which a candidate should have at least been educated for 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years in an institution in Madhya Pradesh.
Availability of Forms for MP PET 2011:
The forms for MP PET 2011 are expected to be available by April in the office of Professional Examination Board or any of the State Engineering Colleges. The form can also be obtained by post from Board Office by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
Important Dates:
Date of MP PET Entrance Examination: 1st week of May, 2011
Online Application Forms: 2nd week of March-1st week of April, 2011
Pattern of Examination:
The paper will consist of objective questions from the following subjects:
Physics-300 marks
Chemistry-300 marks
Mathematics-300 marks
Syllabus will be from class 11th and 12th PCM syllabus.
