Jagdish Chandra Bose

Born: 30 November 1858 (Bikrampur, Bengal)

Bio: Jagdish Chandra Bose was a scientist and a science fiction writer. Among some of his major inventions was Mercury Coherer used in Marconi’s radio communication device.

  2. There is a crater on the moon which has been named after his name as an act of honour.
  3. He was the first person to use semiconductor junctions to detect radio signals.
  4. He never tried to gain any monetary benefits from his inventions (e.g. through patents etc.) and made all his findings public.
  5. He used to attend a vernacular school with son of his father’s attendant and the son of a fisherman, whose stories about birds, animals, water creatures, etc. heavily inspired him to do research about natural working and systems.

Mark Twain

Born: 30 November 1835 (Florida, US)

Bio: Mark Twain was a famous writer, humorist, thinker and philosopher, whose writings and quotes considerably changed the way people used to think.


  1. His real full name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens and Mark twain was only his pen name.
  2. Other pen names that he used were Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass, W. Epaminondas Adrastus Blab, Sergeant Fathom, and Rambler.
  3. He left school at 11 to do a job at a print house to support his family because of his father’s sudden demise.
  4. He used to like river boating a lot and even became a steamboat pilot.Mark Twain
  5. He used to love cats , had 19 cats as pets and always kept at least two of them around him.
  6. He was born two weeks after Halley’s Comet appeared in 1835 and used to say that he came with the comet and expected to go out with it. As he predicted, he died on April 21, 1910, of a heart attack, the day after Halley’s Comet appeared again.
  7. He had nearly drowned 9 times before he was 13 years old.
  8. He claimed that he foresaw his brother’s death in a dream and therefore his interest in parapsychology was raised.
  9. He was working on a ghost story when he was on his death bed but he had ordered all his manuscripts burned after his death.
  10. He was also an inventor and invented several things including a history game meant for improving memory, and a self-pasting scrapbook.
  11. He suffered from colour blindness.
  12. Although a great thinker and rationalist, twain made many bad investments.

Winston Churchill

Born: 30 November 1874 (Woodstock, UK)

Bio: Winston Churchill, war time leader, was one of the most notable prime ministers of the United Kingdom.


  1. He wasn’t a very good student at school.
  2. He wasn’t really close to either of his father and mother but he shared a very special bond with his nanny Elizabeth Anne Everest.Winston Churchill
  3. While giving all his speeches, Winston had to try really hard to deal with a lisp which he had since childhood, for which he often prepared his public speakings weeks before.
  4. He died exactly 70 years after his father had died, on 24th January, 1965.
  5. He made public appearances with his famous cigar in his mouth; however, his mother despised his habit of smoking.
  6. He had formed a habit of discussing important matters by his bed side and often used summon his advisors Sir Hastings Ismay and General Alan Brooke for meetings.
  7. His favourite and strange past time was bricklaying and he made several walls at his house at Chartwell.
  8. His bodyguard saved him from over 20 assasination attempts by the IRA, Indian nationalists, Arab nationalists, Nazi agents, Greek Communists and the deranged.
  9. Although a great thinker and rationalist, twain made many bad investments.

Paul Walker

Born: 12 September 1973

Died: 30 November 2013 (Ist Death Anneversary)

Bio: Paul Walker was a widely loved American Actor known for his professional car racing skills and acting skills.


  1. His first love was marine Biology in which he did major from California Community College.
  2. He liked to travel a lot and had visited many countries like India, Fiji and Costa Rica.Paul Walker
  3. His grandfather was a professional car racer for the Ford and was also a Pearl Harbor survivor.
  4. He was a big animal lover and had a Labrador named Zero, a Chesapeake Bay puppy named Boone and a horse named Cowboy.
  5. He didn’t use to like to watch himself on screen and never watched any of his own movies more than once.
  6. He was good at surfing and lived Huntington Beach, where he used to surfs every day when he was at home.
  7. His name was enlisted amongst others in the list of the 50 Most Beautiful Persons in the World by People magazine in 2001.
  8. His full name was Paul William Walker IV.
  9. He faced a TV camera for the first time when he was 2 years of age and appeared in his first movie at the age of 13.
  10. He was once featured on National Geographic series Expedition Great White in 2010, where he caught and tagged great white sharks near coast of Mexico for two weeks.
  11. He was also a good fighter and owned a brown belt (Second highest rank) in jiu-jitsu.
  12. He owned a shop for high-end performance cars named as ‘Always Evolving’.
  13. After a gigantic earthquake hit Haiti, Walker visited the area and was moved to the extent that he started a disaster relief organization.
  14. He also liked to play Disc-Golf.
  15. He once said “If speed kills me, don’t cry because I was smiling” and incidentally he died in a over sped Porsche
