Indian Version of British “Debating Matters” Coming Soon for Indian Students

Popular British National debating competition “Debating Matters”, a creation of Institute of Ideas, Britain will be introduced in India, in the form of localized version of “Debating Matters”.

The competition will give chance to students of high school to show their oratory and logic building skills. In September, British council will invite applications for online debating competition from schools across the country. After screening, six schools will be selected for the initial round of competition.

The students who will clear the initial round, will get the chance of going to UK for taking part in live debating competition. Eventually, the debating competition will be developed as localized version of the competition on Indian television. Several schools have already confirmed their participation and have prepared the list of their students. The institute will use all the local resources from schools and universities to make this debating competition a big success in coming days.
