Brand New Entry in Schools
The innovators have finally come across the academicians, or else
academicians have knocked the doors of innovators, and the result is the
entry of the brands in the school. Many international schools have
invited popular brands to render their services in the school premises.
So far the most interested seems to be the owners of the restaurants and
catering service providers.
Large schools and universities can now get off with over-the-hill
canteens and make way for Pizza Hut, Mc Donald’s, Café Coffee Day, etc.
Urban centers are the hub of renowned brands and these brands will just
sneak in wherever they can.
Many people see it as a development, whereas others are worried about
their influence on the students. There is a general conception that pizza
and small food joints promote the bad eating habits and mostly serve the
junk food. Such parents have strongly expressed their opposition to such
measures.
Some schools are also said to have sourced out several secondary services
to external agencies. Earlier, colleges and universities allowed
documentation centers to be established, managed and administered by
external agencies, in the campus. These enterprises are bound by contract
agreements that are provided for a specified period. Now, it is brands
who are eager to catch the young audience at the place where they spend
most of their times.
