Climate Change: After World Leaders, School Children do the Talking
Despite global meets and International conventions where leaders of the
world put climate change as the first issue on the agenda, the people are
not very much satisfied with their success. This was proved by the
campaign organizers in the south Indian state, Tamil Nadu, where the
proponents are focusing on the school children to save the planet.
According to a news report published by Reuters, the awareness programme
launched in India would try to reach to 10,000 schools. The organizers
are diffusing knowledge and awareness about the climate change and how it
is affecting and will affect the coming generations.
As per the report about 400 children were present on the launch of the
campaign. Students have been given kits, which contains relevant matter
on the issue. The matter will try to create increased awareness about the
global warming and climate change. The campaign is supposed to move
forward to other states in the country.
Creating awareness at preliminary stage is also believed to address the
problem in a better tomorrow, if things continue to go with the pace at
which they are going right now. It is important to bring to your notice
that many protocols and conventions have been met with little or no
results, as developed countries and leaders are not willing to slow down
their increasing economy. |
