Parent Participation Programme

“School, students and parents together can make learning successful !”

At SHEMFORD, we have always believed that both teachers(mentors/facilitators) and parents play an important role in the growth and development of a student and it is only through open communication, fruitful discussions and active participation that we can together lay a strong foundation for our children. Therefore, we follow a well-designed system of communication through circulars, diaries and forms. Besides this, we also conduct various events like PFMs, parenting workshops, special meetings, orientation days, etc. under SYNERGY, which is our unique Parent Participation Programme. We aim to create and support a strong Parent-School Partnership through SYNERGY in the following ways:

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION

Written communication, including notes & circulars in the diary, Evaluation Cards given on PFMs, posting details of the events on the school website and suggestions & comments from parents on an ongoing basis, through various forms like counselling forms, workshop evaluation forms, PFM Feedback forms, etc.

ORAL COMMUNICATION

Oral communication, including any queries or suggestions at the reception, phone contacts related to school information and follow-ups, parent workshops, discussions in Conferences and Seminars and other interactions.

PARENT FACILITATOR MEET (PFM)

Parent Facilitator Meets are important to formally discuss the performance and growth of the child at school. All aspects, scholastic and co-scholastic related to the child are discussed during this meeting. PFM dates are communicated to the parents through circulars. Parents can use this opportunity to go through the class worksheets, assessment sheets and other work done by the child in school. It is compulsory for parents to attend all the PFMs.
