Secondary School Education
Secondary school education in India starts from the grade VI and completes with grade XII. This is the most important stage in student life as a progressive transformation from immaturity to maturity is initiated in this stage. Also, it is the stage where the student realizes the purpose of education and strives for a promising career.

Secondary education has further been split into secondary and senior secondary. The Grades XI and XII are referred as senior secondary and from VI to X, it is just the secondary school.

There is lesser number of secondary schools in India than primary schools. These schools may be either run by the government or by a private agency.
