IIT JEE Topper, IITJEE All India Rank, IIT JEE 2009 Toppers Result

After the announcement of the IITJEE results 2009, students are anxious to know their rank and that of the IIT JEE topper. This year, a total of 3,84,977 candidates appeared for the IIT JEE 2009 out of them 10035 candidates have qualified the exam.

Nitin Jain (Reg. No. 2076372) from IIT Delhi Zone is the IITJEE topper 2009 with 1st rank or position followed by Shubham Tulsiani of Mumbai (Reg. No. 1156155) and Gopi Sivakanth (6004088) of Madras with 2nd and 3rd rank. IITJEE Toppers from other region are:

2. Avradeep Bhowmik (Reg. No – 3014122) – 34th Rank – IIT Guwahati

Surprisingly this year 98,028 girls attempted for the IITJEE exam and 1048 of them qualified for admissions. Kritika Singh (Reg. No. 4060357) from IIT Kanpur zone has the topped the list of girls with 56th rank. She is the IITJEE topper in the girls’ category.

Counseling sessions for admissions will start from 9th June to 16th June, 2009. Moreover course allocations to the successful candidates will be declared on Wednesday, the 24th June, 2009.

The anxious wait  for thousands of IIT aspirants is finally over as the Indian Institute of Information Technology has declared the IITJEE (Indian Institute of Information Technology – Joint Entrance Exam) Results 2009 today at 8 a.m. Students can check their IIT IITJEE, IITJEE Results 2009 from the websites mentioned below:


This year around 3.95 lakh students from all over India appeared for the IITJEE exam conducted on 12th April 2009 for admission to nearly 6,000 seats in 15 IITs… 10035 candidates have been declared qualified to seek admission for 8295 seats in the IITs at Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi (H.P.), Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan and Roorkee, IT-BHU Varanasi and ISMU Dhanbad.

The number of candidates who appeared in IITJEE 2009 is nearly 24 percent more than the previous year. This year, admissions will also be made to IIT Himachal Pradesh and IIT Indore with 120 seats each. Counseling of successful candidates will be held from June 9 to 16.

Class 12 CBSE Topper,2009 | Class 12th Topper Mumbai & Faridabad

CBSE topper 2009 class XII

Surprisingly, this year there are two CBSE topper’s of class XII – one from Faridabad and another from Mumbai. Tannvi Aggrawal from Apeejay School (Faridabad) and Mritika Sen, of Rajhans Vidyalaya Andheri (Mumbai) emerged CBSE toppers in class XII. Both the CBSE topper’s share the top honors by securing 98.4 percent marks in the Class XII exam. They have scored an aggregate of 492 marks out of 500.

Tannvi Aggrawal is a Commerce student while Mritika Sen is from Science stream, the CBSE said. Anuj Goel, of Delhi (Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya) has secured the first position in the state with 96.6. Of six regions in India, Chennai has topped with the highest pass percentage i.e. 92.06, followed by Ajmer. Delhi has scored fifth position.

Health and Physical Education in CBSE syllabus from 2010

‘Health and Physical Education’ will be included in the ‘Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus from 2010’. Students will soon be taught about health hazards and benefits of yoga/games in their classrooms. The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) has recently approved the syllabus which, will be compulsory for students of class I to X and it will be an optional subject for students of class XI and XII. Moreover, there will be no textbooks for this subject, students will be taught through a planned teachers’ guidebook only.

CBSE will conduct a meeting to finalize the content of ‘Health and Physical Education’ subject from June 2 to June 5 at Gwalior. Further in the meeting they will discuss about the six modules in the subject i.e. nutrition, rural and urban health services, consumer health, health and environment, mental health and human body literacy.

The new subject will be introduced from 2010 in all CBSE schools, public schools and Navodaya Vidyalayas. It will not have any textbooks for the students but only a guidebook for the teachers.

In addition introduction of ‘Health and Physical Education in CBSE syllabus from 2010’ will be of great help for students who plan to study bachelor of medicine and surgery (MBBS), pharmacy courses and biotechnology in future.

UP Board Exam Results 2009 upresults Class X & XII 2009

The UP Board was established in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its very first examination in 1923. UP Board is amongst those boards in India that had adopted 10+2 system of examination right from its inception. The first public examination after 10 years of education is High School Examination and after 10+2 there is Intermediate Examination. Before 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.
