The feeling of ‘good times are here again’. After all it’s festival time.

- Dussehra is the day, when Lord Rama killed the demon, Ravana and won back his wife (Hence, this festival is also called Vijayadashmi).
- Dussehra is also reminiscent of the end of the exile and banishment of the Pandava princes in the epic Mahabharata and their return with their weapons to reclaim their kingdom.
- Vijayadashmi is also celebrated as a festival in honour of Goddess Durga; the Divine Mother who fought with demons led by Mahishasura for nine nights and killed him on the evening of the tenth day, known as the Vijaya Dasami.
- Vijayadashmi is also the day of the Saraswati or the goddess of knowledge and learning.
