The Gujarat University has come up with the first merit list for the centralized admission for 3 most sought after undergraduate courses B.Com., BBA, BCA and the five-year integrated MSc (IT) courses on Monday. Amongst the 31,000 students who applied for the courses, 27,000 students’ names have been mentioned in the merit list.
The university officials asserted that there were 30,500 seats in 78 colleges under the Commerce faculty. Out of the 31,437 candidates who applied, 29,000 filled in their choices while 3,000-odd students did not give their choice.
The Gujarat University decided to hold a centralized admission process for the aforesaid four courses for the very first time. All those students whose name wasn’t mentioned in the first merit list will now have to wait for the second round when the fresh merit list will be declared.
